Assist sign - Distance/ Area/ Time/ Day [ Japan driving ]

From this time, I will explain the assist signs for Japan driving under the traffic sings and marking what I explained before.


[ Distance or Area ]Mandatory

Their following signs are designated the distance or area and you can see everywhere in the road and similar signs (distance and area are changed ).
You should keep the upper sign between the assist sign designated.

*ここから50 m = from this point to 50m
*この先 100 m = From this point to 100 meters
*市内全域 = all city roads


[ Time or Day ]Mandatory

Their following signs are designated the time and Day.
You can see everywhere in the road and similar signs (time and day are changed ).
You should keep the upper sign between the assist sign designated.


*8-20 = 8:00 - 20:00
*日曜・休日を除く = Except for Sunday and holiday.
*Holiday = only national holiday of Japan.


[ Vehicle Type ]Mandatory

Their following signs are designated the Vehicle.
You can see everywhere in the road.
You should keep the upper sign between the assist sign designated.




*原付を除く = Except for mopeds
*積 3 t = loading 3 ton over
*標章車専用 =exclusive for marked car for too elderly drivers, some challenged drivers and etc.
*大貨物 = Large trucks


[ Parking space ]Good

Their following signs are designated distance when you parking.
You should keep 6 meter from the road edge.
These signs are rarely, you may be not able to find out.   

*駐車余地 = Clearance for parking

[ Parking machine work time ]Better

Their following signs are designated distance when you use road side parking.
They are designated the time you can use parking system.


*パーキング・チケット表示時刻まで  : Work time for parking ticket
*パーキング・メーター表示時刻まで  : work time for parking machine
