Traffic sign - Speed limit / Min speed [ Japan driving ]

This is the third time about traffic sings and marking on the road.

You can see everywhere. And these signs are mandatory when you drive in Japan.

You should drive in completely safety following the signs.

If you do not follow, you may be caught by the police( should pay some fine), or have an traffic accident with another vehicles.

[Speed Limit]Mandatory

Drive under 50km/h ( about 31 mi/h)   In Japan, use km/h do not use mi/h

Characteristic is changed depends on the road.

Even a road may be changed frequently depending on the traffic environment(Pedestrians, cycles,,,,,) like  50 => 40 => 30........

Please do not lost this sign.

And, sometimes there are no indications this speed limit sign. 

In that case, you can drive as 60 km/h in public road and 100 km/h in expressway.

In some cases, a sign have a assist sign under od it.

The followings is shown "Drive under 50km/h for designated vehicle

In this case, designated vehicle should drive under 50km/h and another vehicle run different speed limit ( usually 60km/h in public road). 

*大貨 = big truck (over 11 ton-GVM)

[ Minimum Speed ] good

You should Drive over 30km/h. This sign is rare. If you can, please keep of it. 

And in this case, since there are another maximum limit signs near, please note of it.

You may see a slower Japanese Drivers everywhere. 

They have various reasons, but I think that there is a lack of driving practice.....
